The Youth Project Storytelling Workshop

My organization in collaboration with the YMCA Halifax/Dartmouth Centre for Immigrant Programs used the data from the Report on health and wellbeing among trans and nonbinary immigrants and newcomers as the basis for a land based learning and storytelling workshop. This event was attended by folks from diasporic communities, who were encouraged to use their embodied knowledges of resisting colonial violence to be better allies to Indigenous peoples. The event was attended by folks from the ages of 20-29, all of whom were part of the 2SLBTQIA+ community.
