From Mischa Shadloo, The Centre for Gender Advocacy

Over the past year the Centre for Gender Advocacy used Trans PULSE Canada data specific to LGBTQ2S+ sex workers to support us in securing funding which is working to build our organizational capacity to support LGBTQ2S+ sex workers and sex workers in general. We were particularly responsive to data which related to Quebec indicating higher proportions of sex work as this is where the Centre is located, as well as higher levels of underemployment. Part of the new sex worker program here has been to create two new roles for current sex workers. A lot of what is reflected in the data we used to secure the funding is reflected back at us as we organize around these issues. Thank you!
